Enjoining Right and Forbidding Wrong - by Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah Paperback 124 Pages
Enjoining right and forbidding evil one of the things for which Allah revealed books His books, and with it He sent His messengers, and it is an integral part of the way (i.e. the deen). The message of Allah is composed of informative and directive parts. As for the informative, it is Allah informing us about Himself, such as tauhid (theology), or His informing us about His creation, such as the stories of previous peoples and Prophets in which are contained for us lessons, threats and promises. The directive part consists of commands to do, commands not to do, and things left to our choice and discretion.
'YOU ARE indeed the best community that has ever been brought forth for [the good of] mankind: you enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and you believe in God. Now if the followers of earlier revelation had attained to [this kind of] faith, it would have been for their own good; [but only few] among them are believers, while most of them are iniquitous:' : Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:110

The Methodology of the Prophets in Calling to Allaah .[MS Word doc] - Shaykh Rabee' Ibn Haadee 'Umayr al-Madkhalee [PDF Book from Fatwa-online.com - Al-Hidaayah Publishing[ Book]
'That is the way of wisdom and intelligence' Calling to Allaah is a very great honour which is not reached through ease, response and love of relaxation. It is not reached except through beneficial knowledge, righteous action, deep understanding and careful following of the way of the Prophets in calling to Allaah. In this book Shaykh Rabee' ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee explains in detail the methodology of the Prophets in their call to Allaah. In it, he answers those questions which face every caller to the faith who wishes to follow the footsteps of the Prophets: What should his call begin with? What should he concentrate on? And what is the goal of his da'wah to Allaah?
The author Shaykh Rabee Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee then compares the methods of the Prophets with the different methodologies employed by various contemporary da'wah groups and movements that have arisen in our time and highlights the stark contrasts between these new, innovated methodologies and the pure and perfect Prophetic way. This book is an important guide for all those active in the field of da'wah, giving them an insight into the methodology of da'wah which the Prophets employed and how it is a divine and precise methodology which leaves no room for personal opinions, experimentation or individual inclinations.

The Difference Between Advising and Condemning - Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalee [PDF Book] - Checking: By Shaikh 'Alee Ibn Hasan Al-Halabee
This is a complete translation of the classical treatise “Al-Farq baynan-Naseeha wat-Ta’yeer” [The Difference between Advising and Condemning] of Imaam Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalee, may Allaah have mercy on him. The source used for this translation was the Daar ‘Ammaar publication which was checked and verified by ‘Alee Hasan Al-Halabee.
In this treatise, Imaam Ibn Rajab discusses some of the manners and etiquettes of differing amongst Ahlus-Sunnah, explaining the distinction between advising and condemning. This is since these two things are often confused for one another. So the author goes into depth explaining the characteristics of sincere advice and condemnation. This treatise also lays down some guidelines for Ahlus-Sunnah in their criticisms and refutations. It should be noted, as the author states, that this treatise only applies to Ahlus-Sunnah, and as for the innovators and people of desires, then these guidelines do not apply to them.
In recent times, Shaikh Rabee’ Al-Madkhalee has provided an explanation for some of the important points covered in this book in a two-part lecture which was later transcribed and can be downloaded for free from his website www.rabee.net.
