01. Knowledge - by Shaykh ibn Baaz - 25 pages[PDF]
02. Knowledge and Its Excellence - by Shaykh ibn Baaz - 18 pages - [PDF]
A very beneficial work to inspire those who would like to tread the path of the student of knowledge
The Shaykh may Allaah reward him, has beautifully described the importance of seeking knowledge, acting according to it and other related matters. It is hoped that this booklet will help to create a realisation of the importance of knowledge and the status of the scholars.
Indeed the virtues and merits of knowledge (‘ilm) are well known to everyone. It is the most noble thing that one can ask for, and the best thing a seeker can strive to attain. Knowledge consists of many branches, but according to the scholars of Islaam: “What is meant by knowledge in the absolute sense is Islamic Knowledge.”

The Manners of the Scholar and the Student of Knowledge (from Hadeeth of Jibril) - 38 Pags [PDF] - by Shaykh Saleem al-Hilaalee/Burbank
Description from the publisher:
Allaah has protected the homeland of Islaam with the mujaahideen and He has protected the prescribed way of eemaan with teachers. Since He, the Most High, says in His clear Book, “It is not right for the Believers that all of them should go off to battle. Rather from every troop of them, or every group of them some of them should remain in order that they should attain knowledge in the religion. That they should warn their people when they return to them so that they can beware of evil.” So Allaah the Perfect, placed the believers into two groups. On one of them He has made it obligatory that they fight Jihaad in His way. Because if they all went off to fight jihaad, all of them, then the prescribed laws would pass away and knowledge would pass away. Then it would not be possible for them to seek knowledge would pass away. Then it would not be possible for them to seek knowledge after that and so the unbelievers would therefore gain dominance over the Religion. The present work has been researched and written by Shaykh Saleem al-Hilaalee, a student of Imaam Muhammed Naasirud-Deen Al-Albaanee, the Reviver and Scholar of hadeeth of this era. This book shows how the earliest generations of Muslims viewed the seeking and teaching of knowledge and how one is to implement this in today's society and thus revive the Muslim nation to its former glory.

** This is a Complete Book
Shaikh Muhammad Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaanee, has reviewed the treatise and verified the narrations
Iqtidaa-ul-‘Ilm al-‘Amal By Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdaadee. This is the second book in the "Classical Knowledge Series", which is a collection of selected scholarly works from the past that deal with the subject of religious knowledge. The first book in this blessed series was “The Book of Knowledge” written by Imaam Abu Khaithamah Zuhayr bin Harb An-Nasaa’ee (Died 234H), may Allaah have mercy on him.
In this treatise, the author gathers over 200 narrations from the Prophet, his Companions and the pious predecessors on the virtue and obligation of acting upon knowledge. Thus the work serves as an inspiration and encouragement to the readers, guiding them to transfer whatever knowledge they gain of Islaam into good deeds and righteous actions. You will find this book filled with beautiful admonitions and golden words of advice from our righteous predecessors, inciting us to acquire knowledge and to then put it into practice by way of acts of worship.

Adorning Knowledge with Actions - Shaykh Husayn al-Awaa'ishah - qss - 13p (Complete Book)
From the Author's Introduction:
I felt that I should hurry in bringing forward the hadeeth: "The two feet of the son of Aadam will not move from near his Lord on the Day of Judgement until he is asked about five (matters): about his life - how he spent it; about his youth - how he took care of it; about his wealth - how he earned it; and where he spent it; and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge that he acquired," as an aid towards purification of the souls and preparation for death. The advice being firstly to myself, secondly to the du'aat (callers to Allah's path) and thirdly to all my Muslim brothers in every part of the world - hoping that Allah, the Most High, will cause benefit through that which I have written and that the fruits of that may be reaped, now and in the future. In this treatise I restricted myself to one part of the hadeeth and that is "…and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge that he gained."
