Allah, the Exalted says:
وَلَا يَغۡتَب بَّعۡضُكُم بَعۡضًاۚ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمۡ أَن يَأۡكُلَ لَحۡمَ أَخِيهِ مَيۡتٗا فَكَرِهۡتُمُوهُۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٞ رَّحِيمٞ
“O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins.”
[Al-Ḥujurāt 49:12]
1573 Abu Hurairah (radiyallahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales.”[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
