Inspirational Lecture !! Don’t Miss to Listen to it
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allâh), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner.
And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salât (IqamâtasSalât), and give Zakât and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet Peace be upon him), and to purify you with a thorough purification.
And remember (O you the members of the Prophet’s family, the Graces of your Lord), that which is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allâh and AlHikmah (i.e. Prophet’s Sunnah legal ways, etc. so give your thanks to Allâh and glorify His Praises for this Qur’an and the Sunnah). Verily, Allâh is Ever Most Courteous, WellAcquainted with all things. (Al-Ahzab 33:32-34)
—
Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât, and alms, etc.), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues (while sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more than 300 times extra over the remembrance of Allâh during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawâfil prayers of night in the last part of night, etc.) Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). (Al-Ahzab 33:35)

Q: The habit of lightening eyebrows has recently spread among women; they lighten the hairs below and above the eyebrow, so that it resembles Nams (removing hair from the face/eyebrows). This habit is an imitation of Western countries. The lightening substance is also medically harmful. What is the ruling of Shari`ah (Islamic law) on this deed? Please advise. May Allah reward you! It is worth mentioning that most women request a written Fatwa (legal opinion issued by a qualified Muslim scholar), and refuse to abide by verbal ones. May Allah make us benefit from it and preserve the religion of this Ummah (nation based on one creed). Indeed, He is the One able to do so.
Ans:
It is not permissible to lighten above and below the eyebrows in the way that was mentioned, as it entails changing Allah’s creation and resembles Nams which is prohibited, being in the same sense. It is even more prohibited if it entails imitation of non-Muslims, or if it is harmful to the body or hair. This is because Allah (Exalted be He) says: …and do not throw yourselves into destruction The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

Rebutting The Doubts Of Those Who Reject The Sunnah Abu Ishaaq Nadeem Ahsan Shah (hafidhahullaah)
[Audio|English]
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
This is a lecture that was delivered at the Salafi Publications Conference in 2008.
In it our brother Abu Ishaaq Nadeem Ahsan Shah (حفظه الله تعالى) covers the following topic in a comprehensive manner:
He states, at the beginning of the lecture the following: “…speaking about some of the doubts presented surrounding the Sunnah over time. This is a very important topic because many Muslims have become corrupted or gone astray after misunderstanding this issue, the issue of following the Sunnah and what it means to follow the Sunnah. And there were those amongst them who rejected the Sunnah altogether.”
Click on the links below to listen to or to download this lecture.
May Allah reward our brother Abu Ishaaq Nadeem (حفظه الله تعالى) immensely for this highly beneficial lecture and may He continue to aid those that hold up the Book of Allah and Authentic Sunnah with the understanding of the Salaf-us-Saalih.

Reciter: Imâm al-Barbahârî said:
“Bear in mind that all whims are evil. They all call to the sword.” (Sharh-us-Sunnah 147)
Shaykh al-Fawzân: They call to the sword, that is, to the tribulation. The civil wars and splitting has only been caused by Ahl-ul-Ahwâ’ such as Mu’tazilah, Khawârij and others from among Ahl-ul-Ahwâ’. They are the ones who are responsible for the tribulations; Mu’tazilah, Khawârij, Rawâfidh and others. The tribulations have only been caused by them.
Who killed ‘Uthmân (radhiya Allâhu ‘anh)?
Who killed ‘Alî bin Abî Tâlib (radhiya Allâhu ‘anh)?
Who caused the tribulations between the Muslims after that if not these Ahl-ul-Ahwâ’?
Who was it that got al-Ma’mûn and his successors to put Ahl-us-Sunmnah on trial so that they even dragged their Imâm Ahmad bin Hanbal (rahimahullâh), beat him and imprisoned him if not Ahl-ul-Ahwâ’?
Who was it that imprisoned Shaykh-ul-Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullâh) so that he died in the prison if not these Ahl-ul-Ahwâ’?
We are obliged to beware of these people. Their evil leads to the splitting of the Muslims, rebellion against the Muslim ruler and that the Muslims scatter into sects and groups instead of being one single nation (Ummah).

What is the ruling regarding people who wear shorts when they play sports and people who watch them play?
Answer:
Playing sports is allowed when it does not prevent one from what is obligatory. If it were to prevent one from something that is obligatory then it would be unlawful. If it becomes something that people spend most of their time in, then it would become a waste of time, in which case the least of what could be said is that it is Makruh (disliked). As for a person playing a sport, who is wearing only shorts that expose his thigh, or even more then that, then this is not allowed. For what is correct is that it is obligatory for young men to cover their thighs, and that watching a sport whose participants have their thighs exposed like this is not allowed.

Oh Mankind! Indeed You are Returning to your Lord! Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee (hafidhahullaah) Audio Courtesy: http://followthesalaf.com
[Audio|English]
Khutbah from Friday, February 24, 2012
Based on Sheikh Muhammad ibn al-Uthaymeen‘s tafseer of selected ayaat in Surat al-Inshiqaaq
O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did).
Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, He surely will receive an easy reckoning, And will return to his family in joy.
But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, He will invoke (his) destruction,
And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. Verily, he was among his people in joy! Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)!
(al-Inshiqaaq: 6-14)

“I will only take from him [i.e. somebody that somehow differs with the salaf] his words that are truth and leave the falsehood”
Sheikh answers: “It is not permissible for you to do that“
Q: “Why not?”
Ans:
“Because your situation will not fail to be one of two possible cases: either you are a student of the religion and you can distinguish truth from falsehood or you are not able to distinguish truth from falsehood and the latter is the situation of most people.
If you are unable to distinguish then there is not point in asking your question, but if you are able to distinguish then still you are not able to assure that your heart will not be overcome with doubts, and this is a matter of religion, no playing games is allowed, besides the truth you would take from him [i.e. the one that somehow opposed the salaf] you can take from others that are trustworthy”
And then Sheikh ar Ramlee goes on to remind the stories of some of the greatest scholars in the first generations that would not allow themselves, or their families, to listen to even a verse of the qur’an recited by a caller to innovation. Like the example of Ibn Tawus, Abu Kulabah as well as the example of Muhammad ibn Sirin. Then the Shaikh refutes many other common excuses like “but he has sincerity and piety” or “isnt this ghiba?”
Related to this is “Repenting to mistakes in Manhaj” by sheikh Rabee’ (hafidahu Allaah) which highlights the seriousness of opposing the way of the salaf (includes link to arabic original) with examples of the prophet sala Allaahu ‘aleihi wa salaam and the sahaba:

Explanation of the Creed (Sharhus-Sunnah) by Imaam Abu Muhammad al-Hasan al-Barbahaaree from the book of our noble Sheikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan, hafidhahullah, entitled: إتحاف القاري بالتعليقات على شرح السنة
In today’s talk we begin with point 5 (in the english translation, though it is still 4 in the arabic).
Adhering to the Understanding of the Companions
May Allaah have mercy upon you. Know that the Religion is what came from Allaah, the Blessed and Most High. It is not something left to the intellect and opinions of men. Knowledge it is what comes from Allaah and His Messenger, so do not follow anything based upon your desires and so deviate away from the Religion and leave Islaam. There will be no excuse for you since Allaah’s Messenger explained the Sunnah to his Ummah and made it clear to his Companions and they are the Jamaa’ah, and they are the Main Body (as-Sawaad ul-A’dham), and the Main Body is the truth and its followers. So he who contradicts the Companions of Allaah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihiwasallam in any of the affairs of the Religion, then he has fallen into disbelief.
