The Conspirators – Sheikh Saaleh bin Sa’d as-Suhaymee

As sallamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

A few days ago (13th Ramadaan), in the masjid of the Prophet (sallalahu alahi  wa sallam) in Medina, in his explanation of Usool-us-Sunnah of Imaam Ahmad, Sheikh Saaleh bin Sa’d as-Suhaymee (hafidhahullah) said:

“My brothers, do not forget your brothers in Palestine, Syria, Iraq and in every place in your supplications because of these well-known conspiracies which have been agreed upon by all from amongst the disbelievers from the Jews and the Christians, the hizb-ul-Iblees (the party of Iblees), the Raafidah and other than them. They are agreed upon in concocting these conspiracies to divert the Muslims away from Tawheed and to put them to trial and so that they can reach their goals of completely eradicating the Muslims of Ahlus-Sunnah.

However, they will bring in loss (upon themselves) – by the permission of Allah – whether it is the Jews and the Christians of the west and the east, or the party of Iblees, or the Raafidah or those who conspire with them against Ahlus-Sunnah, or the Khawaarij or other than them. All of these (groups) will come to an end – by the permission of Allah. Every time a tentacle from amongst them appears, it will be cut off, and Allah will cut off their tentacles – by the permission of Allah, The Most High…”

The Sheikh then stressed the importance of the Muslims returning back to Allah and to have reliance upon Him alone. He mentioned how the day before someone in Gaza had even called upon Salaah-ud-Deen al-Ayubee (rahimahullah) to help them and that this is the very essence of Shirk. The Sheikh said:

“How do you expect to be rescued (from these trials) whilst you are calling upon other than Allah?”

He then advised the Muslims to call upon Allah alone and not upon anyone else, including the Prophet (sallalahu alahi wa sallam). He then supplicated for the destruction of all these groups, whether it is the ‘devils’ of the Khawaarij and The Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant, or the ‘devils’ of the Jews and the Christians in the east and the west or the ‘devils’ of the Raafidah or the hizb of Iblees. He then said:

“…By Allah, the Jews and the Christians and the west and the east are not the enemies of the Raafidah. They are not the enemies of the Khawaarij. They are the ones who brought them in, they are the ones who armed them and they are the ones who sold weapons to them. This is because the goal which they have in mind is to completely eradicate Ahlus-Sunnah, the Salafees, Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jammah. However, they will bring in loss, failure and disappointment (upon themselves) by the permission of Allah, The Most Merciful…”

How will your soul depart? – As-Saheehah – Sheikh al-Albaanee

As sallamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Here’s a narration which I just read today which I found to be very deep. I thought I’d share it with you all.

The Prophet (sallalahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:

“Instruct your dying ones to say ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’, for indeed the soul of a believer departs through perspiration, and the soul of a disbeliever departs from the corner of his mouth just as the soul of the donkey departs.”

Reported by at-Tabaraanee in Al-Kabeer (1/77/3) as mentioned by Sheikh al-Albaanee (rahimahullah) in As-Saheehah No. 2151

After mentioning its chain of narration, the Sheikh said:

‘And this chain of narration is hasan (good)’. See As-Saheehah No. 2151.

May Allah make our last words ‘none has the right to be worshipped but Allah’. Aameen.

How is that you can rest O Advising Believer ? – Shaykh Rabee’ bin Haadee

As sallamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Sheikh Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullah) said:

“How is that you can rest O’ advising believer and you see the people of innovation plotting and the people of tribulation (fitan) and corruption plotting against your sons and your brothers  with respect to the ‘aqeedah (belief) and the manhaj (methodology)?!

How can you rest?!

By Allah, we do not rest. By Allah, sometimes we do not sleep out of sadness for our sons and out of fear for them from losing their (deen) religion and their dunyah (wordly life)…”

(Marhaban Ya Taalib-ul-‘Ilm, page 29, Daar-ul-Meeraathin-Nabawee, Algiers, 2nd Edition, 1434/2013)

May Allah preserve Sheikh Rabee al-Madkhalee. Aameen.

Ruling on Ruqyah Clinics and adopting doing Ruqyah as a Profession– Shaykh Salih Fawzaan & Sheikh Saaleh as-Suhaymee

The following benefit posted by Abu Yusuf, Sagheer  on West London Dawah groups

As sallamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Here are a couple of excerpts from the salafee scholars about issues pertaining to ruqyah which are very revealing about the state of the people in this day and age.

Sheikh Saaleh bin Fawzaan al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullah) was asked:

“What is your opinion on opening up clinics specialising in reciting (over people for ruqyah purposes)? “

So, the Sheikh replied:

This is not permissible to be done because it opens up the door of fitnah (tribulation) and it opens up the door of fraud for the fraudsters. And this was not from the action of the salaf that they opened up houses or opened up places for reciting (over people for ruqyah purposes).

And increasing in this (opening up clinics) brings about evil and corruption enters into it. And there enters into it (this activity) the one who does not do good because the people rush after greed and they want to attract the people to themselves, even if it is by doing things which are prohibited. And it is not to be said:

‘This is a righteous man (doing the ruqyah in this clinic)’

because a person is put to trial (through this) and refuge with Allah is sought. And even if he was righteous and he opened up this door (of opening up a clinic for ruqyah), it is (still) not permissible. “

(Al-Jinn Was-Sar’ Wa ‘Ilaajuhu [Fataawa from Sheikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan from the radio programme Noorun ‘Alaa-ad-darb – Collected and prepared by ‘Aadil bin ‘Alee al-Furaydaan] , Pp 18-19, Ad-Daar-ul-Athareeyah ‘, Cairo, 1st Edition, 1421/2010).

Sheikh Saaleh as-Suhaymee (hafidhahullah) was asked by a woman from Algeria about a man who proposed to her. This man is someone who preoccupies himself with performing ruqyah and does some strange things during the ruqyah. In his reply the Sheikh said:

“And I warn you against many from amongst those who do ruqyah, for indeed many from amongst them are not upon the guidance of Al-Mustapha (the chosen one) – sallalahu ‘alahi wa sallam. And indeed, the one who adopts doing ruqyah as a profession, then he is an innovator. (This is a) word by which I seek to get closer to Allah, because this (taking ruqyah as a profession) is not established from the salaf.

And as for the one who is requested by his brother to do ruqyah upon him, then:

“Whosoever is able to benefit his brother, then let him benefit him”

as the truthful and the one who is believed sallalahu ‘alahi wa sallam said. “

(sahab.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=148336  – posted on 6th November 2014 CE).

Coupled with some of the other emails I’ve sent out from the likes of Sheikh Muqbil (rahimahullah) and Sheikh Rabee (hafidhahullah) on this subject, there’s not much room left – inshallah – for all those ‘Jinn busters’ out there who have become superstars in the Muslim communities.

Sticking to the Sunnah is the only way out from all our problems.

May Allah save us from following our desires and from the deceptions of Iblees and his army of men and Jinn. Aameen.

Ruling on saying “Whatever is good is from Allah while evil and sin are from ourselves and Satan” – Fatwas of Ibn Baz

Fatwas of Ibn Baz > Volume 8 > Ruling on saying “Whatever is good is from Allah while evil and sin are from ourselves and Satan”

Q: We received a question from Makkah and it reads: Some Du`ah (callers to Islam) and lecturers say at the end of their lecture, “Whatever is good is from Allah while evil and sin are from ourselves and Satan.” What is the ruling on saying that? Please, enlighten us. May Allah enlighten you!

A: There is nothing wrong – I see – with saying that, as it is the truth.

A lecturer, teacher, preacher or anyone else giving advice should observe Taqwa (fear/wariness of offending Allah) and seek the truth. If they do well, it is due to Allah’s Favor on them and if they err, it is due to their negligence and Satan. Allah (Glorified be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) are free from such error.

Allah is the Grantor of success!

The Heavens and the Earth weep when the Believer Dies – Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The Heavens and Earth weep when Believer Dies

Ibn Jarir recorded that Sa`id bin Jubayr said, “A man came to Ibn `Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, and said to him: `O Abu Al-`Abbas, Allah says,

( فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَآءُ وَالاٌّرْضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ )

(And the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given respite)do the heavens and the earth weep for anybody‘ He, may Allah be pleased with him, said,

`Yes, there is no one who does not have a gate in the heavens through which his provision comes down and his good deeds ascend. When the believer dies, that gate is closed; it misses him and weeps for him, and the place of prayer on earth where he used to pray and remember Allah also weeps for him.

But the people of Fir`awn left no trace of righteousness on the earth and they had no good deeds that ascended to Allah, so the heavens and the earth did not weep for them

Chain Letters – Circulating False Reports : Ibn Baaz Fatwas

Fatwas of Ibn Baz > Volume 8 > A note concerning a false report circulated by some ignorant people

Praise be to Allah. May Allah’s Blessings and Peace be upon the slave and Messenger of Allah, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and Companions!

I have come across a false report that is being disseminated by some ignorant people who have little understanding of the religion of Allah. The text of this report is as follows:

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace and blessings be upon the noblest of the messengers, our Master Muhammad (peace be upon him), and upon his family and Companions! Allah (Exalted be He) says: No doubt! Verily, the Auliyâ’ of Allâh [i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allâh and fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve. Allah is Most Truthful.

My Muslim brother, my Muslim sister. A thirteen-year-old girl was inflicted with hard illness and the doctor failed to treat her. One night her sickness grew worse and she wept until sleep overtook her. In her dream, she saw Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her). She put some drops in her mouth, and when she woke up she was completely healed from her sickness. SayyidahZaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) asked her to write this story thirteen times and distribute it to the Muslims to demonstrate the power of the Creator, may He be Exalted, and how it is manifested in His signs and His creation, Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him. The girl did what she was asked to do, and this is what happened:

1 – The first copy fell into the hands of a poor man, who wrote it out and distributed it. Thirteen days later, the Lord willed that this poor man should become rich.

2 – The second copy fell into the hands of a worker who ignored it. Thirteen days later he lost his job.

3 – The third copy fell into the hands of a rich man, who refused to write it out. Thirteen days later, he lost all the riches that he possessed.

Hasten, O Muslim brother or sister, after reading this story, to copy it out thirteen times and distribute it to people, so that you may get what you wish for from the Most Generous Lord, may He be Glorified and Exalted. May Allah’s Peace and Blessings upon our Master Muhammad and upon all his family and Companions!”

When I read this false report, I thought it is necessary to point out that the benefits and good things that the author claims will come to those who copy and distribute it, and the bad things that will happen to those who ignore it and do not disseminate it further, are all lies and baseless. Rather, they are fabrications of the liars and charlatans. They want to divert the Muslims from putting their trust in their Lord alone, with no partner or associate, to bring them benefits and ward off harm, as well as taking the permissible means as prescribed in the Shari`ah (Islamic law). They also want them to put their trust in someone or something other than Allah to bring benefits and ward off harm and to take false means that are not permitted or prescribed in the Shari`ah, which lead them to become attached to something other than Allah and to worship someone other than Him. Undoubtedly, this is one of the plots of the enemies against the Muslims, who want to divert them away from their true Din (religion) of Islam by any means possible. The Muslims should beware of these plots and not be deceived by them. The Muslim should pay no attention to this false report and similar reports which appear from time to time. Warnings have been issued about several of them in the past. It is not permissible for a Muslim to copy out this and similar reports, or to distribute them under any circumstances. Rather, doing so is an evil action and a person who does that is committing a sin; there is the fear that he will be punished in this world and in the Hereafter, because this isBid`ah (innovation in religion) whose evil is great and whose punishment is severe.

This report is a kind of reprehensible Bid`ah and is one of the means that lead to Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship) and overestimation of Ahl-ul-Bayt (members of the Prophet’s extended Muslim family) and others among the dead; calling upon them instead of Allah, seeking their help, and thinking that they can bring benefit or ward off harm from those who call upon them and seek their help. It is also a kind of telling lies about Allah. Allah (Glorified be He) says: It is only those who believe not in the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected. (Agreed upon by Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

All Muslims who receive this letter should tear it up, destroy it, warn people against it and pay no attention to any promises or warnings that it may contain, because these are false reports that have no sound basis and nothing good or bad will result from it. But the one who invents it, those who copy it out and distribute it, and those who promote it and disseminate it among the Muslims are all sinful, because all of that comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression which Allah has forbidden in His Book, where He (Glorified be He) says: Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwâ (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment.

We ask Allah to keep us and all the Muslims safe and sound from all evil. Allah is Sufficient for us and He is the best to deal with those who fabricated this report and similar reports, and introduced into the religion of Allah things that have nothing to do with it. We ask Allah to deal with them as they deserve, for telling lies about Allah, disseminating falsehood, calling people to the means that lead to Shirk and exaggeration about the dead and distracting them with something that will harm them and will not benefit them.

Sincerity towards Allah and His slaves demands that we point this out. May Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon His slave and Messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!

How to wake up for Fajr Prayer everyday ? – Fatwas of Ibn Baz

Content > Volume 8 > Answers to some questions submitted by students to His Eminence > How to wake up for Fajr Prayer everyday

Q : What are the methods I can use in order not to miss the Fajr (Dawn) Prayer? I go to bed early but wake up after sunrise.

A: Every Muslim has to fear Allah (Exalted be He) and offer the Five Obligatory Daily Prayers at their appointed times. He has to try all means that help him in this regard. One of the means that he can try in order to offer the Fajr (Dawn) Prayer in congregation is to sleep early and to set the alarm for the Fajr prayer time. In this way he will be able to arise at the right time and attend the congregational Prayer. He should also ask Allah (Exalted be He) to help him wake up at Fajr time. Another means he can try is to recite the Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) which is said upon sleeping. This way, Allah (Exalted be He) will help him wake up to offer Fajr Prayer in congregation.

Ruling on seeking the help of sorcerers or soothsayers to kill or exorcise evil spirits – Ibn Baaz

Q 4: Is it permissible for people who suffer from jinn possession to seek the help of soothsayers in order to kill or exorcise the jinn possessing them?

A: It is not permissible for them to do so because sorcery and soothsaying can only be performed with the aid of devils whose help is attained when the performer attributes them as partners to Allah in worship. A soothsayer is known to have contact with the jinn who inform him of what is going on at certain places. For example, so-and-so died in the Levant (the region covering Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine) and the like matters.

Devils pass information about future events to each other until it finally reaches the soothsayer. When he passes this information to an ignorant person, the latter comes to believe that the soothsayer or fortuneteller possesses knowledge of Ghayb (Unseen) where in fact the source of this information is Devil. A soothsayer may also seek the help of powerful devils to exorcise another devil possessing the person. This can only be done if the possessed person fulfills their desire that they be worshipped beside Allah or that the possessed person makes vows for their sake or slaughters animals for the sake of drawing near to them. Once their desire is fulfilled, the Shayateen start to threaten the possessing devil with death or imprisonment unless he surrenders to their commands. At that point, the possessing devil will have no choice but to obey his master devils and then leave.

It is not a valid excuse to seek the help of soothsayers on the basis that some people benefit from their help. Those who worship jinn seek to get benefit from them even though the jinn themselves may cause them greater harm by possessing them or robbing their property. Thus, it is not a valid excuse to join jinn in the worship of Allah on the pretext of seeking their benefit to cure the illnesses of humans. During the pre-Islamic era, people used to speak to the idols. The Shayatin would incarnate the idols and would speak with people whom they tempted into worshipping them beside Allah.

Beware of procrastination, for it is one of devil’s strongest weapons – Ibn al Jawzi

Devil’s Deception of People by giving them High Hopes (of living long)

Many Jews and Christians contemplated joining Islam, but Iblis convinced them to procrastinate saying: “Do not rush, look more into the issue.” Until they die as non-Muslims.

He also causes the sinner to procrastinate seeking repentance. A poet said:

“Do not rush into committing a sin,
and then procrastinate repenting.”

Iblis makes those seeking righteousness feel lazy, and he causes those who are serious to procrastinate. He convinces a jurist to rest instead of going over his lesson again. And convinces a worshipper who had woken up to pray at night that he still has a lot of time. Iblis tries to make people lazy procrastinators, and to make them have hope (of a long life). A disciplined person must take advantage of time, and never procrastinate. That which is feared can never be trusted, and that which passes can never be brought back again. The main reason for doing less good and more evil is relying on the hope of a long life, this is because a person continues to procrastinate performing good deeds and refraining from evil deeds.

He who hopes to wake up in the morning will not do much at night, and he who hopes to travel during the day will travel much at night. However, he who sees death to be near works hard during his life. Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Perform prayer as if you were departing.” [1]

Some of the Salaf said: “Beware of procrastination, for it is one of devil’s strongest weapons.”

A disciplined person prepares for his journey, while a procrastinator doesn’t. So when it comes time to travel the disciplined person feels happy while the procrastinator feels that he is in trouble. This is how people are. Some are alert, so when the Angel of Death comes they do not feel guilty. Others are not disciplined, so they feel the agony when it comes time to travel.

If procrastination is part of your nature then repelling it becomes difficult. But when one knows that he has a persistant enemy he will always be on guard.

We ask Allah to give us safety from the enemy’s cunning, the devil’s fttnah’s and the evils of ourselves and the dunyd. Indeed He is near and responsive.

Devil’s Deception regarding al-Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah) – Ibn al Jawzi

Devil has deceived some who claim to have tawakkul. They left their homes without food thinking that this was tawakkul. They are severely wrong.

A man told Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal(radhi Allaahu ‘anhu) : I intend to travel to Makkah without food, relying on Allah. At this Imam Ahmad said: Then you should travel alone without company. The man responded: No, I have to travel with company, so Ahmad responded: So you are going to base your tawakkul on the food that others have brought with them!

The sign of not being attached (zuhd) to the [life of this] world and to people – Shaykh Muhammad Ramzan al-Hājirī

Shaykh Muhammad Ramzan al-Hājirī, may Allah protect him from every kind of harm, said: A legacy for myself and everyone [to hold on to:]

Al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyaadh, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

The sign of not being attached (zuhd) to the [life of this] world and to people is that you do not love people praising you and that you do not worry about their criticisms; and if you were able to avoid being known [to people], do [that]; and it is not to be held against you that you are unknown; and it is not to be held against you that you receive no acclaim; and it is not to be held against you that you are criticized by people, if you were someone praised by Allāh.
