Al-fanaa. (الفناء – perishing) and al-beed (البيد – passing away) have one and the same meaning.[1] So Allaah, the One free of all imperfections and the Most High has as His Attribute: continual and everlasting life. Allaah, the Most High said,
And place reliance upon the Ever-Living One Who does not die.
(Sooratul-Furqaan (25), aayah 58)
So, Allaah never perishes (passes away). He, the Perfect and Most High said,
Everything will perish except for His Face.
(Sooratul-Qasas (28), aayah 88)
And He, the Perfect and Most High said,
Everyone upon (the earth) will perish (die). But the Majestic and Noble Face of your Lord will remain forever. (Sooratur-Rahmaan (55), aayaat 26-27)
So for Him, the Perfect and Most High, is Al-Baqaa. (البقاء – persisting and remaining forever) whereas the creation will die and then they will be resurrected. And initially, they, the creation, were non-existent and then Allaah created them and then they will die and then Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic will raise them in the resurrection.
So, Allaah the One free of all imperfections and the Most High had no beginning and He has no end.

[1] Translator’s side point: Ibn Abil-`Izz rahimahullaah, in his explanation of At–Tahaawiyyah, makes the point that the second one (al-beed – passing away) is an emphasis of the first one (al-fanaa. – perishing).

وأن محمدًا عبده المصطفى، ونبيه المجتبى، ورسوله المرتضى.
[41] And that Muhammad is His chosen slave and His selected Prophet and His Messenger whom He is pleased with.
The Explanation – Point [41] continued [1][2]

Footnotes:
[1] Translator’s Side Point: Ibn Al-Qayyim rahimahullaah in his book Jalaa.ul-Afhaam (جلاء الأفهام) made an important point that with regard to the names of the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam, that just as we have a principle with regard to the Names of Allaah the Most High, that all of Allaah’s Names have along with them an Attribute (contrary to what some of the Mu`tazilah and the Jahmiyyah and their like say); the same point applies to the names of the Prophet Muhammad sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam – his names are not just merely names; all his names are also characteristics found in him.
[2] Translator’s Side Point: Some of the names of the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam are as follows:
Muhammad (محمد) sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam – the praiseworthy one and also the one who praises abundantly. Amongst the evidences is the aayah,
Muhammad is but a Messenger and many Messengers have passed away before him
(Soorah Aal-`Imraan (3), aayah 144)
And likewise the aayah,
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men
(Sooratul-Ahzaab (33), aayah 40)
And likewise, in Soorah Muhammad (47), aayah 2 and Sooratul-Fath (48), aayah 29 the name Muhammad is mentioned for the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam and in many, many ahaadeeth.
Ahmad (أحمد) – the most praiseworthy one. An evidence for that is one aayah in the Qur.aan, in the saying of `Eesaa `alayhis-salaam when he foretold of the coming of a Prophet that would come after him,
a Messenger bringing glad tidings, who will come after me; his name will be Ahmad
(Sooratus-Saff (61), aayah 6)
Al-Maahee (الماحي) – the one who eliminates or wipes away; meaning, the one through whom Allaah wipes away unbelief. The evidence for this name is the hadeeth of Jubayr ibn Mut`im radiyAllaahu `anh.
Al-Haashir (الحاشر) – the first one to be resurrected and the one after whom the rest of the people would be resurrected. The evidence is the same hadeeth of Jubayr ibn Mut`im radiyAllaahu `anh reported by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim.
Al-`Aaqib (العاقب) – the last Prophet. The proof being the same hadeeth.
Al-Muqaffaa (المقفى) or Al-Muqaffee (المقفي) – the one who follows on from the previous Messengers and is the final one of them. The evidence for that is the hadeeth of Aboo Moosaa Al-Ash`aree radiyAllaahu `anh, reported by Muslim.
Nabeeut-Tawbah (نبي التوبة) – the Prophet of repentance; the one through whom Allaah opened the gate of repentance to His servants. The proof being the same hadeeth of Aboo Moosaa Al-Ash`aree radiyAllaahu `anh.
Nabeeur-Rahmah (نبي الرحمة) – the Prophet of mercy; the one whom Allaah sent as a mercy to the creation. The evidence is the hadeeth of Aboo Moosaa Al-Ash`aree radiyAllaahu `anh.
Nabeeul-Malhamah (نبي الملحمة) – the Prophet of slaughter or wars; the one sent to fight against the enemies of Allaah. The evidence of this is the hadeeth of Hudhayfah radiyAllaahu `anh reported by Tirmidhee in his Shil.
An-Nabeeul-Mustafaa (النبي المصطفى) – the chosen Prophet. The evidence being a hadeeth of `Awf ibn Maalik Al-Ashjaa`ee radiyAllaahu `anh.
Along with these names, some of the scholars mention that Allaah has described the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam with a number of attributes and titles in the Qur.aan. Amongst the titles given to the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam in the Qur.aan are:
`Abdullaah (عبد الله) – the slave of Allaah
`abd (عبد) – a slave
rasool (رسول) – a Messenger
nabee (نبي) – a Prophet
ummee (أمي) – unlettered
shaahid (شاهد) – a witness,
mubashshir (مبشر) – a bringer of glad tidings
nadheer (نذير) – a warner and a caller to Allaah by His Permission
siraajan muneeraa (سراجا منيرا) – a shining lamp
ra’oofan raheemaa (رؤوفا، رحيما) – compassionate and merciful
mudhakkiran (مذكّرا) – one who reminded the people of their Lord
rahmah (رحمة) – a mercy
ni`mah (نعمة) – a favor
haadee (هادي) – a guide
These are titles and attributes mentioned in the Qur.aan with regard to the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam and other scholars mention many others besides these.
With regard to the ahaadeeth that were evidences for the names, they are:
The hadeeth of Jubayr ibn Mut`im radiyAllaahu `anh who said, “Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam said,
لي خمسة أسماء: أنا محمد، وأحمد، وأنا الماحي الذي يمحو الله بي الكفر، وأنا الحاشر الذي يحشر الناس على قدمي، وأنا العاقب
‘I have five names: I am Muhammad and Ahmad and I am Al-Maahee – the one through whom Allaah wipes away unbelief, and I am Al-Haashir – the one whom the people will be resurrected after me, and I am Al-`Aaqib – the last Prophet.’”
Reported by Al-Bukhaaree as hadeeth 3532 and also by Muslim.
The hadeeth of Aboo Moosaa Al-Ash`aree radiyAllaahu `anh who said,
كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يسمي لنا نفسه أسماء. فقال: “أنا محمد، وأحمد، والمقفي، والحاشر، ونبي التوبة، ونبي الرحمة”
“Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to call himself different names to us. So he said, ‘I am Muhammad and Ahmad and Al-Muqaffee (the one who came at the end of all the Prophets before) and Al-Haashir (the first one to be resurrected) and Nabeeut-tawbah (the Prophet of repentance) and Nabeeur-rahmah (the Prophet of mercy).’”
Reported by Muslim.
The hadeeth of Hudhayfah radiyAllaahu `anh who said, “I met the Prophet sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam on one of the paths of Al-Madeenah; so he said,
أنا محمد وأنا أحمد وأنا نبي الرحمة ونبي التوبة وأنا المقفي وأنا الحاشر ونبي الملاحم
“I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad and I am the Prophet of mercy and the Prophet of repentance and I am the one who comes last after the other Prophets and I am the one who will be resurrected first and the Prophet of wars or slaughter.”
Reported by Tirmidhee in his Shamaa.il and declared Hasan (Good) by Shaykh Al-Albaanee.
The evidence for the last name, “An-Nabee Al-Mustafaa” (the chosen Prophet) is a slightly longer hadeeth. It is an incident which happened in Al-Madeenah. Shaykh Al-Albaanee declared the hadeeth authentic (Saheeh) in his checking of Ibn Katheer’s Seerah. The hadeeth is reported by Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad from `Awf ibn Maalik Al-Ashjaa`ee radiyAllaahu `anh who said,
“The Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam went off one day and I was with him until we entered a church (synagogue) of the Jews in Al-Madeenah on a festival day of theirs and they disliked that we should enter upon them. So he, sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said to them,
‘O company of Jews, show me twelve men who bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and then Allaah will remove the anger that He has upon them from every Jew beneath the sky.’
So they were silent, none of them answered him.
Then he repeated it to them but none of them answered him. So he said, ‘You have refused. So by Allaah, I am certainly Al-Haashir (the one who will be resurrected first) and I am Al-`Aaqib (the last Prophet), and I am An-Nabeeul-Mustafaa (the chosen Prophet) whether you believe or whether you reject me’.”
The companion said, “Then he departed and I was with him until we had almost gone out (of the church of the Jews) when a man said from behind us, ‘Remain where you are O Muhammad.’ So that man said, ‘O company of Jews, what sort of person do you know me to be amongst you?’
They said, ‘By Allaah, we do not know there to have been any man amongst us who knew the Book of Allaah better than you do, nor anyone having more religious knowledge than you do, nor than your father before you, nor than your grandfather before your father.’
He said, ‘Then I testify in his favor that By Allaah! He is the Prophet of Allaah who you find mentioned in the Tawraat.’
So then they said, ‘You have lied’ and they rebutted his saying and spoke evil of him.
So Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, ‘You people have lied; your speech will never be accepted. You have just been praising him as you have done with good, but when he believed then you declared him to be a liar and you said about him what you said. So you speech will never be accepted.’”
The companion said, “So the three of us went out – Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam, myself and `Abdullaah ibn Salaam (the Jew who just entered into Islaam). No one else from the Jews believed.
And Allaah the Most High sent down concerning him,
Say, “Do you see, if it is indeed from Allaah and you disbelieve in it, when a witness from Banoo Israa.eel witnesses to the like of it and he believes in it, but you people reject haughtily.” Then Allaah does not guide an unbelieving, wrongdoing people.
(Sooratul-Ahqaaf (46), aayah 10)
Shaykh Al-Albaanee said the hadeeth is Saheeh (authentic).

“You are the First One and there was nothing before You, and You are the Last One and there is nothing after You.”[1]
However, the word qadeem (قديم – the ancient one) is not applied to Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, except in the sense of informing about Him. As for calling Him with that name, then there is not from His Names “al-qadeem” (the ancient one). Rather, from His Names is: “Al-Awwal” (الأول – The First); and the term Al-Awwal (The First) is not the same as saying al-qadeem (the ancient one) because the term al-qadeem (the ancient one) may have someone before Him. As for the term “Al-Awwal” (The First) then there is nothing before him (one who is first). As the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam said,
أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْء
“You are the First One and there was nothing before You.”
However, the author rahimahullaah, made a precaution here and he said, “The Ancient One without any beginning,” and if he had just said “The Ancient One” and remained silent then that would not be correct in meaning. [2]
Footnotes:
[1] Reported by Muslim in the Book of Dhikr and Du`aa. and Tawbah and Istighfaar. It is a hadeeth of Aboo Hurayrah radiyAllaahu `anhu that the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam would recite this du`aa. when he would go to bed (as part of a longer supplication).
[2] Translator’s side point: Shaykh `Abdul-`Azeez Ibn Baaz rahimahullaah says about this same point, “The Ancient One without any beginning”: The wording qadeem does not occur amongst the Perfect Names of Allaah as the explainer (Ibn Abil-`Izz rahimahullaah) and others explained. But many of the people of theological rhetoric mention that phrase about Allaah, that He is Qadeem, to affirm that His existence came before everything. However, the Names of Allaah are tawqeefiyyah – they can only be affirmed with a text from the Noble Book or the authentic Sunnah. It is not permissible to affirm anything from His Names based upon opinion as the imaams of the Salafus–Saalih have stated. And the word ‘al-qadeem’ (the ancient one), does not indicate the meaning which the people of theological rhetoric intended because the wording ‘al-qadeem’ (that which is ancient) in the Arabic language means that which preceded something else even though it itself did not exist at one time, such as occurs in the saying of Allaah, the Perfect,
Until it returned like the old ancient date stalk (Soorah YaaSeen (36), aayah 39)
Rather, the correct meaning is only indicated by the addition which the author mentioned, “The Ancient One without any beginning” but it is not befitting to count that amongst the Perfect Names of Allaah since it is not established in texts and we are sufficed in that regard by His Name, He the Perfect, ‘Al-Awwal’ (The First One),
He (Allaah) is the First and the Last
(Sooratul-Hadeed (57), aayah 3)

[5] And none besides Him (Allaah) has the right to be worshipped.
–
The Explanation:
This is Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah (Tawheed of Worship). The phrase ‘Laa ilaaha’ means: none has the right to be worshipped in truth besides Him.[1]
As for if you were to say (that it means), “nothing is worshipped except Him (Allaah)” or “there is nothing worshipped other than Him (Allaah);” then this is baatil (false and futile) because there are many things which are worshipped beside Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. So if you say, “there is nothing worshipped besides Allaah” then you have made every object which is worshipped to be Allaah. And this is the position of the people of wahdatul-wujood (وحدة الوجود – unity of existence: the people who say that Creator and the creation are one and the same thing). So the person who says this, if he actually believes that then he is from the people of wahdatul-wujood (unity of existence). As for if he doesn’t actually believe that, but he only says it, blindly following other people, or he just heard it from someone, then this is an error and it must be corrected. And some people say this as an opening supplication in the prayer; so one of them says, “Nothing is worshipped besides You,” whereas the reality is that Allaah is truly and rightfully worshipped, whereas everything as beside Him is worshipped falsely and without right. He, the Most High said,
That is because Allaah – He is the One Who is worshipped in Truth and whatever they call upon besides Him, is baatil (false and futile). And Allaah, He is the Most High, the Most Great.
(Sooratul-Hajj (22), aayah 62)

يهدي من يشاء، ويعصم ويعافي فضلًا، ويضل من يشاء ويخذل ويبتلي عدلًا
He guides whoever He wishes, and protects and keeps safe as a favour (fadl) upon them; and He misguides whoever He wishes, and humiliates, and puts to trial from (His) Justice (‘adl).
The Explanation – Point [36]
Allaah, the One free from all imperfections, guides whomever He wishes and He misguides whomever He wishes; and this is by the Qadaa. (القضاء – Ordainment) and Qadr (قدر – Pre-decree) of Allaah.
However, He guides those whom He knows are fitting to receive guidance and He guides those who eagerly seek out guidance and who devote themselves to it; then Allaah makes good easy for him. And He misguides whomever He wishes by reason of that person’s turning away from seeking guidance and good; then Allaah misguides him as a punishment for him for turning away and for his lack of desire for good.
This is made clear by His, the Most High, saying,
As for the one who gives in charity and is dutiful to Allaah and attests to what is true, then we make easy for him acting in obedience to Allaah. (Sooratul-Layl (92), aayaat 5-7)
So the cause is found with the servant, and the Pre-decree is from Allaah, the Perfect.
And as for the one who miserly and thinks himself self-sufficient and denies that which is true, then We make easy for him the path to evil. (Sooratul-Layl (92), aayaat 8-10)
So the cause is found with the person, and the Pre-decree is from Allaah, the Mighty and the Majestic. However, Allaah decreed that for him as a punishment for him.
So Allaah decreed guidance as a favour from Allaah, the Mighty and the Majestic, and He bestowed honour upon the person who wishes and desires guidance and desires good. Then for him, Allaah makes the good easy and easy for him to perform it. And this is for the person’s benefit; it is not for the benefit of Allaah, the Mighty and the Majestic. And as for misguiding of the misguided people, then that is justice from Him, He the Perfect and Most High, and as a recompense for them for their turning away and for their and not turning to good and to obedience to Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. He does not wrong them whatsoever. And therefore we find in the aayaat,
And Allaah does not guide the people who are transgressors (Sooratul-Baqarah (2), aayah 258)
And Allaah does not guide the unbelieving people (Sooratul-Baqarah (2), aayah 264)
And Allaah does not guide the wicked evil-doers (Sooratul-Maa.idah (5), aayah 108)
So He made wrongdoing and unbelief and wickedness reasons for the absence of guidance. And these things are actions of the people for which He recompenses them as justice from Him, He the Perfect and Most High, not as injustice or oppression.
And Allaah did not oppress them but rather they wronged their own souls. (Sooratun-Nahl (16), aayah 33)
So it is not befitting for Him, He the Perfect, that He should bestow honour upon one with those characteristics. And likewise, it is not befitting upon Him, He the Perfect and Most High, that He should cause the deeds of those who act, to be lost. He, the One free of all imperfections said,
Do those people who commit sins think that they will be made just the same as those who truly believe and perform righteous deeds, in their present lives and after death? Evil is the judgement that they make. (Sooratul-Jaathiyah (45), aayah 21)
And Allaah created the heavens and the earth in Truth so that He should recompense every soul in accordance with what it earned; and they will not be oppressed. (Sooratul-Jaathiyah (45), aayah 22)
Shall we make the Muslims just like the criminals? What is it with you – how do you judge? (Sooratul-Qalam (68), aayaat 35-36)
This would be oppression, which Allah is free of. He, the Perfect and Most High says,
Shall we make those who truly believe and work righteous and correct actions, (shall we make them just the same) as those who cause corruption upon the earth, or shall we make those who are dutiful to Allaah just like the wicked folk? (Soorah Saad (38), aayah 28)
So Allaah, the Perfect and Most High does not lose the reward of one who works a righteous and correct action, and He does not punish anyone for something which he did not do and for something which he did not earn.
You will not be recompensed except for that which you used to do. (Sooratus–Saaffaat (37), aayah 39)
So the actions, all of them, whether good or bad, are from the person; and the recompense is from Allaah out of His Favour and Justice.
End of explanation of point [36][1]
Footnotes :
[1] Translator’s (Dawud Burbank) side point: Ibn Abil-`Izz rahimahullaah, in his longer explanation, commenting about this point, said:
This contains a refutation of the Mu`tazilah with regard to their saying that it is obligatory upon Allaah that He must always do what is most beneficial for the person; and this is a question of guidance and misguidance. So the Mu`tazilah, they say, “Guidance is from Allaah and it means explaining the correct way” and they say, “Misguidance is just calling a person ‘misguided’ and that He, the Most High, judges the person to be upon misguidance when the servant himself creates misguidance for himself.” And this is built upon their false and futile principle – that the actions of the people are created by them. And the proof for what we have stated is the proof of Allaah, the Most High (addressing the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam),
You do not guide those whom you love should be guided, but rather Allaah guides whomever He wishes (Sooratul-Qasas (28), aayah 56)
So if guidance was just explaining the correct way, it would not be correct for guidance to be denied for the Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam in this aayah because he showed the correct way to those whom he loved and those whom he hated.
And He the Most High said,
And if We wished We would have given every soul its right guidance(Sooratul-Sajdah (32), aayah 13)
Allaah misguides whomever He wishes and He guides whomever He wishes(Sooratul-Mudaththir (74), aayah 31)
And if guidance from Allaah just meant showing the correct way, which is general to every soul, it would not be correct to restrict that by His Will. And likewise, He the Most High said,
And if it were not for the Favour of my Lord I would have been one of those brought to the Hellfire(Sooratus–Saaffaat (37), aayah 57)
And He the Most High said,
Whomever Allaah wishes, He misguides him, and whomever He wishes, He places him upon a straight path(Sooratul-An`aam (6), aayah 39)

And it is Allah Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the Resurrection!( Surah Faatir 35:09)
Evidence of Life after Death
Often Allah refers to the Resurrection by using the analogy of the earth coming back to life after it has died, as in the beginning of Surat Al-Hajj, where He urges His servants to draw the lesson of the former from the latter. For the earth is dead and lifeless, with nothing growing in it, then He sends to it clouds which bring water, which He sends down upon it,
(it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth))(22:5). So too, when Allah wishes to resurrect the bodies, He will send rain from beneath the Throne which will cover the whole earth, and the bodies will grow in their graves like seeds grow in the earth. It says in the Sahih:
(Every part of the son of Adam will disintegrate apart from the coccyx, from which he was created and from him he will be made anew.) Allah says:
As such (will be) the Resurrection!
According to the Hadith of Abu Raz0n: I said, O Messenger of Allah, how will Allah bring the dead back to life? What is the sign of that in His creation? He said:
(O Abu Razin, do you not pass through the valley of your people (and see it) arid and barren, then you pass through it (and see it) stirred (to life) and green) I said, `Yes.’ He said:
(Thus will Allah bring the dead back to life.)”

Tafseer Ibn Kathir : Surah Faatir 35:11
(darussalam english publication)
Righteous Deeds ascend to Allah
(To Him ascend the good words,) means, words of remembrance, recitation of Qur’an, and supplications. This was the view of more than one of the Salaf.
Ibn Jarir recorded that Al-Mukhariq bin Sulaym said that “`Abdullah bin Mas`ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said to them, “If we tell you a Hadith, we will bring you proof of it from the Book of Allah.
When the Muslim servants says, `Glory and praise be to Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, Allah is Most Great and blessed be Allah,’ an angel takes these words and puts them under his wing, then he ascends with them to the heaven. He does not take them past any group of angels but they seek forgiveness for the one who said them, until he brings them before Allah, may He be glorified.”
Then `Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, recited:
(To Him ascend the good words, and the righteous deeds exalt it).”
Imam Ahmad recorded that An-Nu`man bin Bashir, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “The Messenger of Allah said:
(Those who remember Allah and glory Allah by saying, `Glory be to Allah, Allah is most Great, all praise is due to Allah and La ilaha illallah, these words go around the Throne buzzing like bees, mentioning those who said them. Would one of you not like to have something with Allah mentioning him)”
This was also recorded by Ibn Majah.
(and the righteous deeds exalt it). Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
The good word is the remembrance of Allah, may He be exalted, which is taken up to Allah, and the righteous deed is the performance of obligatory duties. Whoever remembers Allah when doing an obligatory duty, his deed carries his remembrance of Allah and takes it up to Allah, may He be exalted. Whoever remembers Allah and does not perform the obligatory duties, his words will be rejected, as will his deed.

[The below is the Text from the Book]
Chapter 12: Eemaan in Paradise & Hell & That They are Both Created
[91] Ahl us-Sunnah testify and believe that Paradise and Hell are both created. They will remain eternally and the people of Paradise will never leave it. Also the inhabitants of Hell, who were created for it, will never come out of it. Death will be sacrificed on the wall between Paradise and Hell, then a call will be made that day:
“..O people of Paradise, there is eternity and no death. O people of Hell, there is eternity and no death.“
This is what is reported authentically from the Messenger of Allaah [صلى الله عليه وسلم) [107)

Advice to Those Who Have Mobile Phones – By Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn رحمه الله

Translated by Mikail ibn Mahboob Ariff حفظه الله
Transcription of the Text from the Video:
Question:
Esteemed Shaikh, there has appeared in [recent] times the mobile phone device, and it has been used a lot by women, especially young women, and it has been misused to adverse effect, there being no person to watch over or keep track [of its use]. So could there be some advice to fathers and young women because it has really become one of the most dangerous traps of the Devil.
Shaykh Muhammad b. Salih AI-‘Uthaimin:
[My] Advice: Indeed, the means to evil in our time have become many, and they are temptations one whom Allah wants to test is tested by. They are a trial from Allah, Almighty and Majestic, since Allah the All-High at times tries slaves by making easy the means to commit sins. Allah the AII-H lgh at times tries slaves by making easy the means to commit suns.
That which the person with the question mentioned is [really] happening: indeed, mobile phones are ready, accessible means for young women to get in contact with young men because they use it everywhere, even if it were in the toilet-the bathroom-and because if anyone calls, his number shows up on the phone, [so] it’s easy to call him [back], so it’s dangerous.
And for that reason, firstly, I advise our young men and women to stay away from this disgraceful behavior, and I hope that the future of Islam at their hands will be the best of futures.
Secondly, I advise fathers and guardians to stay informed and have a deep look: how is the young woman using this mobile phone, and how is the young man using it? And I’ve said to you: indeed, Allah sometimes tries slaves by making easy the means to sin, in order to test them, almighty and majestic is He.
And we have two examples: the first example is found in the nations before us. The second example is found at the beginning of this nation. The Jews were prohibited from catching fish on Saturday.
So when it was Saturday, the fish would come to the surface of the water: when their fish would come to them on their Sabbath day in the open, everywhere, while on non-Sabbath days they would not come to them. [Meaning of Al-A’raf:163, extract]
During the remaining days of the week they wouldn’t come, and [it] went on for a long time for them. So they said: There must be some way out-and it’s that we lay out the nets on Friday; then the fish will come and fill them in great numbers. And when it’s Sunday, collect it.
So what dld Allah do With them?
Allah Almighty and Majestic says:
And you have most certainly come to know [0 Jews] those who transgressed from you with regard to the Sabbath, so We said to them: Become monkeys, cast out. [Meaning of AI-Baqarah: 65]
And those who came at the beginning of this nation:
Allah the Almighty and Majestic tested them when they were in a state of ihram [during pilgrimage] with the [wild] game that is forbidden for those in a state of ihram [to hunt].
So game was within reach of their hands and spears Reptiles [that they could catch to eat] were within reach; rabbits, easy to catch with one’s hands; gazelles, easy to catch with one’s hands; birds, within spear range-given that birds are never except within the range of arrows and that spears, as you know, consists of a stick or the like with a sharpened metal point at the head of it-one could have got them with his spear.
So the Companions? They held themselves back from this. Not one of them hunted game despite it being [so] easy [to catch].
And now sins have become easy to commit by way of these devices, so it’s upon us to pay attention. And I fear Allah the All-High may send us all a punishment and that He might replace this feeling of security [we have] with fear; this feeling of being fully satisfied, with hunger; this being clothed, with having no clothes, since Allah the Almighty and Majestic says:
And if only the townspeople had believed [and followed what the messengers of Allah had come with] and protected themselves [from His wrath by obeying Him and avoiding sins], We would have then released blessings [of rain and vegetation] upon them; instead, they disbelieved [in them], so We punished them for what they had earned [of sins]. Is it that the [disbelieving] townspeople have come to feel safe from Our punishment coming down upon them at night while they are asleep? Is it that they feel safe from Allah’s [gradual] plan [leaving them to continue sinning in good health and living until they are suddenly taken by punishment]? And no one feels safe from Allah’s [gradual] plan except people headed for complete loss [and destruction]. [Meaning of AI-A‘raf: 96-99]
May Allah protect us and you all from this.

The Believers Will See Their Lord In The Hereafter
[90] Ahl us-Sunnah believe and testify that the Believers will see their Lord, The Most Blessed and The Most High, on the Day of judgement with their eyes. They will look at Him, as it is reported in the authentic ahaadeeth from the Messenger of Allaah, (صلى الله عليه وسلم). He said:
“Indeed, you will see your Lord like you see the full Moon. ”[105]
The comparison (like) mentioned in this hadeeth is between the two (seeing’s) not between that which is seen in each case.[106] The ahaadeeth of the vision are related in the book al-Intisaar with all the asaaneed.

[105] Related by Ibn Khuzaimah in Kitaab ut-Tawheed [ 1:407-411 ]. See also al-Bukhaaree [554], Muslim [183l and Aboo Dawood [ 4729 ]. The Prophet, (صلى الله عليه وسلم ), said:
“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allaah, the Most Mighty and the Most Majestic, will say: ‘Do you wish for anything extra that I may give you?’ They will say: Have you not brightened our faces? Have You not entered us into Paradise and saved us from the fire? So He will remove the screen and they will not have been given anything more beloved to them, than looking at their Lord, the Most Mighty and the Most Majestic.”

[106] i.e The similarity between seeing the full moon and seeing Allaah is in the seeing, not between the full moon and Allaah. This fine point is a refutation on those who claim that Ahl us Sunnah here have made a comparison between Allaah and His creation ( i.e. the full moon).

The Hawd & The Kawthar (The Pool & The River)
[89] They believe in the Hawd [102] and the Kawthar. Also in the entering of a group of Ahl ut-Tawheed into Paradise without account. There will also be a group from them who will have an easy reckoning, without any harm befalling them, or any punishment overtaking them. A group from them who had sinned will enter the Fire, then they will be freed and led out of it and joined up with their brothers who preceded them in entering Paradise. [103]
They ( i.e. Ahl Hadeeth ) know with certainty and truth that the sinful from amongst the Ahl ut Tawlieed will not remain in the Fire eternally, and will not be left there forever. [104] As for the unbelievers, they shall abide in Hell forever and never come out of it nor shall they ever be reprieved. Allaah will never leave in the Fire anyone, who was disobedient from Ahl ul-Eemaan.

Chapter 20: The Outcome of the Slaves is Unknown
[115] The People of Hadeeth believe and testify that the end of the slave is unknown. No one knows what his end shall be. They (People of Hadeeth) do not pass judgement on a specific person that he will be from the people of Paradise or from the people of Hell, because that is something which is hidden from them. They do not know in which state a person will die, whether it is upon Islaam or unbelief, so due to this fact they say:
“Indeed we are Believers, if Allaah wills.”
That is, from those Believers who will have a good end, if Allaah wills [134]

They will eventually enter Paradise and no one from amongst the Muslims will remain in Hell eternally. This is a great blessing and favour from Allaah. If one dies upon unbelief, and Allaah’s protection is sought from this, he will be thrown into the Fire and he will not be saved from it, and he will stay there forever.

Chapter 14: We do not Call a Muslim an Unbeliever Due to his Sins
[100] Ahl us-Sunnab believe that if a Believer commits sins, however small or large they may be, he does not become an unbeliever. If he leaves this world without making any repentance from them and he dies upon Tawheed and Ikhlaas, then his affair is entirely up to Allaah, The Most Mighty and The Most Majestic. If He wills, He may forgive him and enter him into Paradise on the Day of judgement, safe and sound without being afflicted by the fire and without being punished for his perpetration of the sins.
He will be brought on the Day of judgement with his sins and misdeeds. If Allaah wills, He will punish him for a period in the Fire. If He punishes him, he will not however remain in the Fire forever, but he will eventually be freed and taken out from it, to the place of tranquility and content.
[101] Our Shaykh, the Imaam Aboo Tayyeb Sahl ibn Muhammad as- Sa’lookee, raheemahullaah, said:
“The sinning believer, even if he is punished by the fire, he will not be thrown in there the same way as the unbeliever is thrown in the fire. He will not remain there the same way as the unbeliever will remain there nor will he be wretched and miserable the same way the unbeliever is wretched and miserable.”
[102] This means that the unbeliever will be dragged to the Fire on his face, he will be thrown in there chained, and then hung upside down, shackled by having his hands tied to his neck with strong and heavy chains. However, the sinning believer, if he is afflicted by the Fire, he will enter it like a criminal enters a prison in this world on his feet, not upside down nor thrown in. The meaning of his statement:
“…he will not, be thrown in there the same way as the unbeliever is thrown in the fire…,” means that the unbeliever will have all his body burned and every time his skin is roasted through it will be replaced with another, so that he may taste the punishment again, as Allaah informs us in His Book:
“Indeed, those who have disbelieved in our signs, we shall burn them in a fire. We shall change their skins for other skins, so that they may taste the punishment again.” [Soorah an-Nisaa 4;56]
As for the believers they will not have their faces scorched by the Fire, and their limbs which they used for sujood will not be burned. For Allaah has forbidden the Fire from burning them. “ [113]
[103] His saying: “…he will not stay in the Fire like the unbeliever would…”, means that the unbeliever will remain in it forever and never come out of it. Allaah will never leave any sinning believer in the Fire forever.
His saying: “…he will not be afflicted like the unbeliever”, means that the unbeliever has no hope of the Mercy of Allah and no opportunity for reprieve from the punishment. As for the believer he will never be cut off from the hope of the Mercy of Allaah.
The final outcome for all the believers is Paradise, as they were created for it and it was created for them, as a Mercy and a Blessing from Allaah.

Chapter 25: Their Position With Regards To The Dispute Between The Companions
[130] The People of Hadeeth hold that one must refrain ( from discussing the dispute between the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم). The tongues must be purged from mentioning anything which entails the attribution of shortcomings and deficiencies to them. [146] They (The People of Hadeeth ), hold that one should seek Allaah’s Mercy for all of them and have love and defend each and every one of them. Chapter 28: The Whisperings of the Devils (Shayaateen)
[The below is the text from the Book]
[134] The People of Hadeeth believe that Allah, The One free from all deficiencies, Created the devils with the characteristic of whispering to mankind and they intend their downfall, so they lie in wait for them.
“Indeed the devils do inspire their friends to dispute with you and if you obey them, then indeed you will become an polytheist.” (Sooratul-An’aam 6:121)
[135] Allaah empowers them (the devils ) over whomsoever He wishes and He protects whomsoever He wishes from their plots and deceptions. Allaah The Most Mighty and Majestic says:
“And Istafziz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allah’s disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them.” But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.Verily! My slaves (i.e the true believers of Islamic Monotheism), you have no authority over them. And All-Sufficient is your Lord as a Guardian.(Sooratul-Israa 17:64-65)
Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah). His power is only over those who obey and follow him (Satan), and those who join partners with Him (Allah) (Sooratul-Nahl 16:99-100)

Chapter 26 : You Will Not Enter Paradise By Your Deeds Alone
[131] The People of Hadeeth believe and testify that no one is entitled to Paradise, even if he had performed good deeds and his worship was the most sincere, or his obedience was the purest obedience and his way was a pleasing one, unless Allaah favours him, thereby granting it to him, through His Blessings and Graciousness. Since the good deeds which the person performed was not made easy for him except by the facilitation of Allaah, Mighty is His Name. So if He had not facilitated it for him, the person would not have been able to accomplish this deed and (similarly) if He did not guide him to it he would never have accomplished it out of his own effort and exhoflation. Allaah, The Most Mighty and The Most Majestic says:
“And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you, not one of you would ever have been pure from sins. But Allah purifies (guides to Islam) whom He wills, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.” (An-Nur 24:21)

What should a servant do when he is tried with a sin and he repents from it with a repentence where these three affairs (conditions) are fulfilled. But (then) he struggles with his heart regarding that sin, only to find that he fell into it (again).
Shaykh ‘Abdullaah bin ‘Abdirraheem al-Bukhaaree:
May Allaah bless you. I say: a sincere tawbah (repentance) requires an effort. Now, there is no command or prohibition – as Imaam ibn al-Qayyim said – except that Shaytaan (the devil) has two incitements regarding it: either to extremism or to negligence. He (i.e. Shaytaan) doesn’t care by which of these two he becomes victorious [over the servant]! The important thing (to him) is that you leave the Straight Path. Also, from his ways is that he doesn’t want you to be steadfast upon tawbah. He doesn’t want this! Because if you – the one he (Shaytaan) led astray and made fall into sin – are steadfast upon sincere tawbah and you adhere to obedience, he (Shaytaan) loses! Right? And this makes him feel very outraged, because he swore by Allaah:
(Iblees (Shaytaan)) said: “By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, except Your sincere slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism).”
[38: 82-83]
May Allaah bless you. Shaytaan beautifies the sin, this is why it has been narrated in the two Saheehs:
“Paradise is surrounded by things which are disliked and Hellfire is surrounded by desires (temptations).”
So this affair requires one to strive hard!
As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths.
[29: 69]
So you must show Allaah that you are truthful!! And this is a kind of test: you repent sincerely, and then the soul which commands evil entices you. So then you are in a struggle between your soul which commands evil and your self-reproaching soul. This is a test to see if your repentance is truthful, if your intention is correct and if you are sincere to Allaah in leaving [this sin]. Just as it is obligatory upon you to be sincere to Allaah in [performing] that which is commanded, it is also obligatory upon you to be sincere to Allaah in leaving [the prohibitions]. It is obligatory that you are sincere to Allaah in leaving [sins]!
And beware, O beloved one! From the greatest means that lead to the servant being deprived of succes, is commiting sins.
We supplicate to the One Who is worshipped (Allaah) during every distress, then we forget Him when the distresses are removed.
How can we hope for an answer to our supplications, while we closed its path with sins.
Ibn Mas’ood, may Allaah be pleased with him, said:
“I consider a man to have forgotten the knowledge that he learned because of a sin he commits.”
[Al-Hilyah by Abu Nu’aym]
So a person should beware! This is why the look is an arrow from the arrows of Iblees, so a person should not continue looking, [listening to] whisperings, [listening to] suggestions [of Shaytaan], listening or other than that. So the more a person continues, the more he increases, and it is feared for him that Raan will cover his heart, about which Allaah said:
Nay! But on their hearts is the Raan (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. [83:14]
We seek refuge with Allaah! So beware! Sins are dangerous, by Allaah, O brothers! Dangerous and significant! And do not belittle [sins] by saying: “This is an insignificant sin,” “Is it from the minor or major sins?” Beware! In al-Bukhaaree on the authority of Anas, may Allaah be pleased with him:
“You people do (bad) deeds (commit sins) which seem in your eyes tinier than hair, while we used to consider those (very deeds) during the life-time of the Prophet as destructive sins.”
Trust me completely: Whenever you are truthful to Allaah in seeking refuge with Him and throwing yourself with humility before Him with repentance and returning back, He will make you steadfast, He will help you, He will give you success and He will take away from you the most evil of evils, the plot of the sinners and the most evil calamities of the day and night. But whenever you continue [listening to] whisperings and suggestions [of Shaytaan], Shaytaan will cause you to backslide. So beware!
But, the fact that the servant always talks to himself (i.e. reviews himself), that he is aware that Allaah always watches over him in all of his deeds and movements and that he seeks nearness to Him by staying away from sins: this is a proof of his truthfulness, with the permission of Allaah. This heat that you feel because of this struggle in the inside, will result in coldness, certainty and security for you, if you are truthful to Allaah. This is why Allaah, the Majestic and Most High, says:
O you who believe! Be afraid of Allaah, and be with those who are truthful (in words and deeds). [9:119]
Being truthful in words and deeds is a must! In words and deeds! And from the greatest of this, is that we are truthful to Allaah when we seek His forgiveness and when we return back to Him, the Majestic and Mighty! Is this clear, O brothers? So beware of continuing! Strive against your soul!
Trust me completely: it is only a small amount of days. The Prophet – sallal-Laahu ‘alayhi wa sallam – said, as mentioned in as-Saheeh:
“Victory is only an hour of patience.”
This Shaytaan requires struggle (Jihaad)! Right? He requires a great struggle! You have to struggle against him night and day! And the Prophet – sallal-Laahu ‘alayhi wa sallam – has informed us:
“When any one of you goes to sleep, Shaytaan ties three knots at the back of his neck, and says: “You have a long night, so sleep.””
So Shaytaan is with you! And he wages war against you from every place! It is not possible for you to be saved from him, except by seeking refuge with Allaah. This is why Allaah commanded you to seek help from Him and to seek refuge with Him:
Say: “I seek refuge with (Allaah) the Lord of the daybreak.” [113:1]
Say: “I seek refuge with (Allaah) the Lord of mankind.” [114:1]
And the noble, merciful Prophet – the one whom Allaah sent as a mercy to mankind – advised you, guided you, directed you and clarified to you the Path of salvation, which is adhering to the Sunnah: the adhkaar (supplications) for the morning and the evening [1], the adhkaar for entering and leaving the toilet, sleeping, eating, drinking, etc.
Review yourself! I say: review yourself and examine yourself: are you from those who are steadfast upon the Sunnah or negligent regarding it? How should you call yourself to account except in this way? And praise and thank Allaah that you are alive! Praise and thank Allaah that you are alive! And I have mentioned this to the students and brothers, here or in a previous lesson – I don’t know.
How should this (calling oneself to account) happen? You have a notebook and a pen with you, and you want to know? Call yourself to account before you are called to account! You have a notebook with you [and you write]: Bismillaahi ar-Rahmaani ar-Raheem. Today, saturday or sunday. We start from Fajr; did you wake up before Fajr or after Fajr? [Mention this] to yourself, not in the radio! Did I wake up in time? Did I catch the Sunnah of Fajr or not? Of course before this [you mention]: have I prayed witr or not? Yes/no. Did I pray Fajr in congregation? Yes. Did I catch Takbeeratul-Ihraam? Yes/no. Have I said the adhkaar after the prayer [2]? Yes/no. The adhkaar for the morning and the evening? Yes/no. Did I recite my (daily) part of the Qur’aan? Etc, etc etc. Did I backbite? Have I commited something prohibited? Write down! You will see in the end of the day that you have [written] pages! Yes, no, yes, no… Review [yourself]!Yes: I stay upon the truth. No: review it the next day; are you still upon this or have you left it?
O brothers, this affair is significant! It is not trivial!
..in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years. [70:4]
Anyway, it is a must that we prepare an answer for this Day! We ask Allaah to be kind and gentle to us and you, to give us and you a good ending and to make us all steadfast upon Islaam and Sunnah. And may Allaah raise the rank of the Messenger of Allaah, his family and his Companions and grant them peace.

Questioner:
A man has been afflicted by Waswaas Qahree (compulsive whisperings). So what is your advice? May Allaah preserve you.
Shaykh Sulaymaan bin Saleemullaah ar-Ruhaylee:
It is a way from the ways of Iblees (Shaytaan). And the principle regarding Waswaas is that it is a proof for the righteousness of the servant and the soundness of the heart. For verily, when Shaytaan sees that the servant is righteous and that he (Shaytaan) is not able to defeat him by way of actions, he starts whispering to him. This is why when this (affair of Waswaas) was mentioned to the Prophet -sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam– he said: “All praise is due to Allaah Who has reduced the plot of Shaytaan to al-Waswasah (whispering).” He (Shaytaan) wasn’t able to overcome us, so he came to us with Waswaas. And he (the Prophet) said: “That is a clear sign of faith.” This is the essence of Waswaas. Meaning: if Waswaas takes place, then that is a proof for this.
But this doesn’t mean that we praise those who are afflicted by Waswaas. For verily, answering to Waswaas is evil. It is obligatory to avoid and stay away from it. And those who are afflicted by Waswaas are of two categories.
The first category: that the Waswaas does not overpower him. Rather it comes to him and goes away. This is cured through making a lot of isti’aadhah (seeking refuge with Allaah). He seeks refuge with Allaah from it and he spits to his left side. And he recites the Qur’aan and the Ahaadeeth.
The second category: that the Waswaas is so much that it overpowers him. And this cannot be cured by any action, because the more actions he does, the more his Waswaas increases. Even if he recites Qur’aan, his Waswaas increases! So how is it cured? The Fuqahaa’ say that it is cured by completely turning away from it. What does this mean? It means that you do not perform anything because of it or leave off anything because of it. Even if it comes to you, consider it a crazy person speaking from behind you, while you are certain that he does not harm you. And do not perform anything because of it or leave off anything because of it.
Some people, when Waswaas comes to them, they open the Qur’aan to recite it. Then Iblees becomes (even more) eager in (overpowering) him, so he starts whispering to him with regards to the Qur’aan. He gets up and prays, so he (Shaytaan) whispers to him in his prayer.
And do not leave off anything because of it! If you are reading the Qur’aan and Shaytaan comes to you whispering, then do NOT leave off reciting the Qur’aan, rather continue! Leave it whenever YOU want to leave it. As for leaving it because of the Waswaas, then don’t. If you do this and you are patient… KNOW that this issue requires patience, because Iblees comes to the person who is afflicted with Waswaas in the form of an advisor, someone who has pity. In the prayer (Shaytaan says): “This is the prayer! And the prayer is the connection between the servant and his Lord! And if your prayer is nullified, then what remains for you? Beware! Leave (the prayer) and go perform Wudoo!” (He does this) in order to corrupt his prayer. And he is not an advisor, rather he is Iblees! So this requires patience. Be patient!
If Waswaas comes to you in Wudoo, then perform your Wudoo and leave. If Iblees then comes to you and says: “There remains something!” Then say: “There remains nothing.” Do not pay attention to him! And go pray! By Allaah, it will not harm you! By Allaah, it will not harm you. You are reciting the Qur’aan and Iblees comes to you whispering? Continue! And leave him (Iblees)! Continue reciting! By Allaah, it will not harm you! In fact, you will be rewarded! Because you are performing Jihaad against Iblees. Then Iblees will becomes hopeless of you and leave this door (of Waswaas), and he will start looking for another door.
So, O brothers, the likes of this brother about whom it is said that he has Waswaas Qahree, meaning: the Waswaas overpowers him, the ONLY cure for him is completely turning away. And the meaning of completely turning away, is that he has CERTAINTY that it does not harm him, and that Allaah is Ever-Merciful, and that it is not possible that Allaah punishes his servants because of this, and that this isn’t from the religion! Allaah says: “And He has not laid upon you in religion any hardship…” (22:78) How can it be from the religion that a person has to perform Wudoo seventy times?! [unclear] So you should know this and be certain of it, and that’s it! You do what the people do, and you turn away. And you continue in your act and you don’t leave it because of Waswaas. And do not perform anything because of Waswaas. By Allaah, with the permission of Allaah he will be cured. And we know this by experience.
By Allaah, O brothers. A man came to me and Shaytaan used to always whisper to him with regards to his wife, that he is divorcing her. And if he goes with her to her family, and he says to her: “Go to your family,” then Iblees comes to him and says: “You just divorced her.” Sometimes he used to call me at two o’clock at night and three o’clock at night and say: “O Shaykh, right now she is next to me in bed, is she my wife or have I divorced her?” In the beginning we said to him: “Keep yourself busy with the remembrance of Allaah, until you leave this affair.” So he started keeping himself busy with the remembrance of Allaah, and then Iblees started coming to him; whenever he said “Subhaanallaah”, then Iblees said: “No! You are indirectly saying you have divorced her.” And whenever he said “Allaahu akbar”, then Iblees said: “You are indirectly saying you have divorced her! And this is a matter of honor!” When we saw that the affair became severe, we advised him to turn away (from this Waswaas). Then he used to turn away for a while and then return (to his state of Waswaas). He sometimes came to my house, and I used to throw him out of my house. Because as long as he knows that there is someone who can give him comfort, then he will continue with his Waswaas. But we gave him the principle. After a while, and to Allaah belongs all praise and blessing, his life became stable and this Waswaas was completely gone from him, because he was firm upon this principle. And I know many people, one of them had Waswaas for more than twenty years! And he came to us, so we advised him and we were patient with him for a while, and then Allaah cured through this way. So my advice to the brother is that he acts upon what I have mentioned, and Allaah knows best.

‘I entered Makkah and I saw the gathering of Hamid Faqeeh. I saw that he was strong in Salafi Tawheed, so I sat there until the Adhan of Isha. Then when I was alone with him I asked him: ‘O Shaykh how did you learn Tawheed?’
He said: your question is excellent.’
Then he narrated the famous story to me.’
Shaykh Hamad al-Ansaari also said:
‘I met with Shaykh Hamid Faqeeh once and I said to him: Salafiyoon are a rarity in Egypt, and you are a Salafi, so how did Salafeeyah come to you?’
He said: ‘I had graduated from the university of Cairo or Azhar, and while I was travelling back to my village carrying my university certificate I passed by a farm and I saw an old Shaykh sitting there and I gave him Salam, so he said to me what is that in your hands?’
I said: ‘A graduation certificate.’
Next to the Shaykh was the book ‘Kitab al-Tawheed’ with its explanation of ‘Fath al-Majeed’ the Shaykh stood up and walked off to take care of something and he was away for sometime. I picked up the book to read, then later on the Shaykh returned, I asked him about this book, and I told him that I was amazed by it. He began explaining the ‘Aqeedah of the Salaf to me. He said: ‘O my son it is upon you to spread Tawheed and the ‘Aqeedah of the Salaf, because indeed you did not learn that in the university from where you graduated.’
So from then on I began calling to the ‘Aqeedah of the Salaf, and this Shaykh was a farmer in that farm.’
